This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color of blood, and the number negative 18.

1. Kimber is freaking out because I didn’t get the TT done yesterday. I had a busy day. Will you ever forgive me?  Oh yeah! no problem, we all have others stuff to do aside from blogging.

2. So this weekend is Valentine’s Day. When you think of yourself and this love-filled holiday, what is biggest memory? Lots of chocolates, flowers and romantic dinner.

3. Pajama pants. Who knew it could have so many fricken opinions. (Seriously… if you don’t believe me) Would you… do you… could you wear PJ pants to a store? Yeah why not just make sure it’s not the see-through thing.

4. I’m gonna give you one of those big heart candy boxes on Sunday. Are you an expert at chocolate candies and already know whats inside them all or will you just take whichever one and enjoy it no matter what is inside or are you one of those people who sticks their finger in the bottom of the candy to see what the filling is then puts it back if you don’t like it? Hurry-up! I am waiting for those good candies. will take it whatever it is.

5. Scented Candles – whats your favorite? love the bamboo scent of Bath and Body Works

6. Snow sucks. We’ve mostly all been hit. What kind of snow shovel do you have? (The rest of you who live in sunny no-snow places… tell me your favorite sunscreen brand) You are right snow sucks that is why we are thinking of moving to different state. I think we have the metal one.

7. The first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up was “Oh crap. Kimber’s gonna be pissed….” then I had a whole bunch of good ideas for questions to ask. Now I can’t remember them. Do you keep a notebook next to your bed for times like that? no i have it on my desk computer.

8. Have you ever seen a groundhog in real, you can touch it and it will bite you, life? not yet

9. Is there any key on your keyboard that is starting to wear off? Which one is it? no. my computer keyboard is still good.

10. Do you think Kimber should move to Minnesota and take long walks in the snow with Berleen? oh i hope not. they have so much snow out there but i she like snow then go.

Another place to visit is the Cagsawa Ruins in Legazpi City, Albay. My classmate (his dad was mayor in their town) in college invited me before to visit the place but I can no longer remember why it did not happen. Legazpi City is the capital of the province of Albay. It is one of the top tourist destination because this is where the famous active Mayon Volcano located. It is is considered as the world’s most perfectly formed volcano for its symmetrical cone.

You may want to visit the Cagsawa Ruins in Daraga. The town was buried when the Mayon Volcano erupted in 1814. The aftermath of the eruptions only remained the Cagsawa church tower, wall of the priest’s house and the municipal building.

Other places to go to and sights to visit include:

  • The Albay Park and Wildlife – This is a picnic grove and a park combined. It also serves as the home to 347 animals of 75 species.
  • Liberty Bell – Installed in 1945 by the American liberation forces at the Penaranda park, in front of Albay Provincial Capitol. It is made from bronze.
  • Japanese Tunnel – Used as an arsenal during the second World War, it measures 40 meters long and around 7 feet deep.
  • Magayon Art Gallery – Found at the lobby of the Albay Provincial Capitol and serves as the avenue for artists to show off their visual creations
  • Legazpi City Museum – Showcases the heritage and culture of the city. It is currently the only public museum in the Bicol Region.
  • Bicol Heritage Park – Located inside the Camp General Simeon Ola Headquarters. This is where you can find the statue of General Simeon A. Ola.
  • Lignon Hill – Located behind Albay Park and Wildlife. One of the best places to view Mayon Volcano and Legazpi City is the Lignon Hill (also spelled as Ligñon Hill and pronounced as /li-NYON/). This 143-meter high cinder-cone hill located 11 kilometers southeast of the volcano’s summit is the highest location in the city’s downtown area and towers over the adjacent Legazpi Airport.A long and winding road crawls up the sides of Lignon Hill where there is an observation station constructed on top. This is where the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has a permanent station to observe Mayon.
  • Kapuntukan Hill (also known as the Sleeping Lion Hill) – This is the place to visit if you wish to have a view of the Legazpi Port District and the Albay Gulf.
  • Embarcadero – A major waterfront development in Legazpi that will become a destination for both local and international tourists alike. The masterplan maximizes the uniqueness of the location – the site fronts the main harbour of Legazpi with views to the Mount Mayon Volcano. Embarcadero comprises retail, restaurants, markets, a major civic space and landmark lighthouse, with a future waterfront hotel and spa. Embarcadero will “activate” the waterfront creating an attractive and vibrant focus for the city’s leisure and lifestyle activities. Embarcadero will function as a waterfront promenade, with theatrical lighting and performance spaces creating a lively, family friendly environment during the day and at night.
  • Regional Government Offices in Rawis – DepEd (Department of Education), DOT (Department of Tourism), RTC (Regional Trial Court), DAR (Department of Agrarian Reform), DOST (Department of Science and Technology), and LTO (Land Transportation Office), COA (Commission on Audit), DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highway), TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority), DBM (Department of Budget and Management).

One thing that I missed in my previous work is the team building. We usually go out of town or sometimes if most of us can’t get vacation or swap of our days off we would just watch movie, eat in restaurant or go to mall and play bowling or have sing-a-long. Recently my friends an adventure-seeker as I am went to Mount Pinatubo to see the famous lake. The Mount Pinatubo lake or Lawa ng Pinatubo in Tagalog is the crater of the Mount Pinatubo volcano. The lake was created after the Mount Pinatubo eruption in 1991.  In the large volcanic crater is a majestic wide  jewel of blue and green of water. The place is now popular of trekking and hot spring. The shortest or easiest route to Pinatubo lake is the trail called Skyway. You will need to travel or ride using a 4 wheel drive for 1.4 hours and 45 minutes to an hour hike. If you want to visit the place the most appropriate time is summer. Check out the beautiful pictures of the lake.
